Polyaspartic is a refined member of the polyurea family, engineered to fix the weaknesses epoxy leaves behind. It cures in as little as 20–60 minutes per layer, stays UV-stable so it won't yellow in sunlight, and flexes with your concrete instead of cracking as temperatures swing. It also resists abrasion at roughly four times the strength of budget epoxy and shrugs off hot tires and harsh chemical spills.

For a top coat, yes. Polyaspartic cures faster, resists UV so it won't yellow, flexes instead of cracking, and offers about 4x the abrasion resistance of budget epoxy. But epoxy still makes the better base coat, which is why we layer the two.
