What The Wish Warranty Covers

Colour and adhesion, in writing.

Every Wish Coatings floor is backed two ways — based on what we’re coating. The concrete we grind, prep and coat gets our strongest coverage; every other surface is covered on colour.

What’s covered

• Colour retention — on concrete for 20 years, and on all other coated surfaces for 5 years. If your finish loses its colour within that period under normal use, it’s covered.
• Adhesion on concrete — for 20 years. If the coating peels or delaminates from a properly prepared concrete slab under normal residential use, we’ll correct it.

What’s not covered

Our systems are built to last, but some things fall outside this warranty:

• Adhesion on non-concrete surfaces — wood, tile, vinyl and other substrates are covered on colour only; the bond to those materials is not warranted.
• Physical & accidental damage — scratches, chips, gouges or impacts from dropped tools, equipment, or dragging heavy objects.
• Concrete movement — existing or new cracks from settling, foundation shifts, shifting soils, earthquakes, or slab heave. Concrete naturally moves; our coatings seal the surface but can’t stop the slab beneath from cracking.
• Moisture & substrate issues — hydrostatic pressure, heavy vapour transmission, efflorescence or sub-surface degradation that breaks the bond from below.
• Chemical damage — battery acid, harsh solvents, corrosive or abrasive cleaners, or automotive fluids left pooling without cleanup.
• Extreme tire & vehicle damage — heavy commercial equipment, racing slicks, high-heat compounds, studded tires, snow chains, or plasticizer migration from brand-new uncured tires parked before full cure.
• Neglect, alterations & commercial use — failure to follow the Care & Maintenance Guide, work by anyone other than us, or commercial/industrial/automotive-business use (this warranty is for normal residential use unless agreed in writing).

How we resolve covered claims

If a covered colour or adhesion issue appears during your warranty period, we’ll determine the best fix — repair, recoat or replace the affected area. Remedies are limited to the localized area where the issue exists, and repaired sections may not perfectly match the surrounding floor in colour, texture, flake or gloss due to natural aging and batch variation.

Important conditions

• Residential use — applies to normal residential conditions: personal vehicle parking and typical household foot traffic.
• Maintenance — following the Wish Coatings Care & Maintenance Guide is a condition of coverage.
• Inspection — we must have a reasonable chance to inspect a claimed issue before any repair. Unauthorized or third-party repairs void coverage for that area.
• Original purchaser only — tied to your account and non-transferable if the home is sold.

How to file a claim

Take clear photos of the affected area and contact us within 30 days of first noticing the issue, through wishcoatings.com. Prompt reporting helps prevent further damage. Failing to report a problem in reasonable time — when that delay causes additional preventable damage — may limit or void coverage for that area.

Our liability, in plain English

Our total responsibility under this warranty is capped at the original purchase price of the coating service. We’re not responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential costs — loss of use, storage, moving vehicles or belongings, travel, or lost income during inspection or repair. This warranty provides the exclusive remedies described above and replaces any other warranty not required by law.
